FIREPROOFING

Fireproofing is an increasingly complex endeavor. Especially as new products come to market, manufacturing and utility plants become more complicated, and designers cope with a growing maze of code requirements.

The Beta approach in working with our clients puts our highly experienced sales and technical experts at your service throughout the design and installation process- from initial design and detailing of the specification, to on-site application and inspection, to final sign off.

FIREFITE® 30

Firefite® 30 is a cementitious, sprayable fireproofing material specifically designed for internal or external use.

FIREFITE® IP/S

Firefite® IP/S is an intumescent, waterborne ready-to-use paint specifically designed to provide fire protection to steel structures.

SKAMOL FIRE PROTECTION BOARDS

Calcium silicate boards that are extremely lightweight,

have very low thermal conductivity, excellent mechanical strength. The combination of low weight, high service temperature and good integrity makes the calcium silicate boards highly applicable for a wide range of applications.

FIREFITE® 30

Features

Firefite® 30 is a cementitious, sprayable fireproofing material specifically designed for internal or external use. Firefite® 30 is applied to structural steel or concrete in commercial as well as industrial areas due to its excellent weather resistance and durability.

Firefite® 30 is asbestos and chloride free and consists of factory produced blend of exfoliated insulating aggregates, heat resistant cementitious binders, mix dispersing additives and bonding agents. It is supplied as a dry mix to which clean water is added on site into a special spraying machine.

Firefite® 30 may be applied to structural steel members coated with red lead iron oxide resin oil, alkyd zinc chromate, zinc epoxy, epoxy polyamide or acrylic polymer latex.

Firefite® 30 should only be installed by trained and approved applicators.

Fire Performance

Firefite® 30 is rated non-combustible and complies with the performance requirements of surface burning characteristics as per ASTM E84.

Firefite® 30 is classified in accordance with ASTM E119, ISO 834 and BS 476: Pt. 20/22 for fire resistance ratings from 1 to 4 hours on steel structures.

FIREFITE® IP/S

Features

Firefite® IP/S is an intumescent, waterborne ready-to-use paint specifically designed to provide fire protection to steel structures. Firefite® IP/S can be applied internally or externally. However, a weather protection coating should be applied for external applications.

The fireproofing system consists of three stages post sandblasting. An approved primer, intumescent paint (Firefite® IP/S) and a topcoat for decorative and protective purposes. A minimum of 4 hours of drying time between coats should be carried out at >10℃.

Firefite® IP/S can be applied using an airless spraying machine, a trowel or paint brush and should only be installed by trained and approved applicators.

Fire Performance

Firefite® IP/S is rated non-combustible and complies with the performance requirements of surface burning characteristics as per ASTM E84.

Firefite® IP/S is classified in accordance with ASTM E119, ISO 834 and BS 476: Pt. 20/22 for fire resistance ratings from 1 to 3 hours on steel structures.
